2022 Kolbe Award Honoree:
Father Kolbe Missionaries of the Immaculata
2022 Conference Speaker
Ann O'Donnell
Member of the Father Kolbe Missionaries of the Immaculata
The Kolbe Award is given in recognition of those who mirror St. Maximilian Kolbe’s charism of evangelization through Marian consecration. This year’s recipient of the Kolbe Award is the Father Kolbe Missionaries of the Immaculata, a Secular Institute of Pontifical Right made up of Missionaries (consecrated laywomen) and Volunteers (associated lay or cleric members). Their Institute was founded in 1954 in Bologna, Italy, by Conventual Franciscan Father Luigi Faccenda. It’s objective is to be a Marian and missionary presence in the Church and society. The spiritual experience of St. Maximilian Kolbe, martyr in Auschwitz, based on the entrustment to the Immaculata, is the richness that unites them and that they wish to welcome, live, and communicate.
